USE AND CARE GUIDE

Stainless Steel

To ensure long life for your stainless steel Barfly® product, hand washing is recommended. Product can be cleaned in a dishwasher, but avoid detergents containing bleach or heavy chlorination, as they can damage the finish of stainless steel.

Please follow the directions below:

  • If you decide to hand-wash your barware, use mild dish detergents, warm water, and a sponge. No other special treatment is needed. Avoid dish detergents with lemon or orange additives, as these acidic additives can cause corrosion of stainless steel.
  • For best results, wash product immediately after use. Do not leave soaking for prolonged periods, which can damage the finish.
  • After cleaning product, rinse with clean, cool water.
  • Dry immediately. Air drying can leave spots, streaking, discoloration or corrosion.
  • Although our stainless steel barware is dishwasher safe, we recommend that you do not let it go through the hot air drying process in your dishwasher as it may increase the chances of damage.

How to Polish Plated Barfly® Mixology Gear
  • Polish plated barware infrequently.
  • Use a polish formulated specifically for the type of plating you own.
  • Never use harsh polish on barware, as this can damage the plating or remove it completely.
  • Use long horizontal strokes rather than a circular motion to polish each item.
  • Wash the polish off in warm soapy water, rinse the barware, and dry it.
  • Buff the surface using a soft cloth.
